Dawn Cornett

President

Dawn Cornett is a seasoned healthcare executive with a background that bridges clinical care and commercial strategy. Beginning her career as a wound care nurse, she went on to lead sales divisions for top national organizations including Lincare, Rotech Healthcare, and Genadyne Biotechnologies. With decades of experience in healthcare administration, sales leadership, and operations, Dawn has launched and scaled national wound care programs and brought new products to market through strong partnerships with manufacturers, hospitals, GPOs, and distribution networks. As President of Rise Healthcare Partners, she brings a strategic, clinically informed approach to helping healthcare manufacturers grow and deliver meaningful innovations to the providers and patients who need them most.

What inspired the creation of Rise?

I love seeing new products come to market that help patients. However, most startups struggle with the initial investment of a sales team and go-to-market strategy (which I love). I believe that I am an excellent connector of people so if I connect the right people with the right product we can change the lives of patients.

What do you find most rewarding about your career?

I love encouraging others and inspiring people to achieve their goals. Whether that is a manufacturer with a new product, a sales consultant achieving their goals, or a provider healing their patient. I like to think I have a small part in all of those.

Is there a patient story or experience that has deeply influenced your work?

My daughter had brain surgery in high school and the medication that we used for her wound was new to the market and not covered by insurance. I was only able to access this product because of my connections in wound care. I was able to see an excellent product deliver incredible results and imagined what it would be like if more patients had access to the right products at the right time.

How do you ensure that patient care and innovation remain at the forefront of your work?

By choosing the right manufacturer partners and strong trustworthy provider relationships.

Julian Gordon

Vice President

Julian Gordon is a healthcare sales leader specializing in market expansion, payer engagement, and strategic partnerships. He has held leadership roles at organizations such as Rotech Healthcare, McKesson, and AdaptHealth, where he built and led high-performing teams across wound care, DME, and managed markets. Known for his strategic mindset and solutions-focused approach, Julian brings clarity and momentum to every engagement. As Vice President of Rise Healthcare Partners, he helps manufacturers scale effectively and bring new, life changing medical technologies to more providers and patients nationwide.

What values do you and your partners prioritize in running Rise?

Providing a work environment that allows you to grow and be heard as an individual while working toward one common goal.

What motivates you every day in your role?

Truly to be successful is to put me in a position where I can give back to the community.

Karen brings over 30 years of experience in wound care, advanced therapies, and research across acute and post-acute settings. She has served as a Wound Care Director in home care and contributed to the field as both a speaker and author.

Her insight helps us evaluate product effectiveness, guide adoption strategies, and ensure the solutions we support are not only innovative, but clinically impactful in practice.
